The Chelsey Park Difference; Maximizing Individual Strengths and Abilities
It is a privilege for us to provide care for your loved ones and we are grateful for the memories that we honour in our hearts.
Enhancing Lifestyles Through Leisure
Qualified staff plan recreational and therapeutic programs to assist our seniors physically, socially, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Residents enjoy an environment which encourages choices and provides an opportunity for positive experiences and accomplishments for active living.
Nurturing Mind Body and Soul
We walk on them, eat them, taste them and smell them! A certified Horticulture Therapist shares the powers of nature with residents interested in planting and tending to our Therapeutic Serenity Garden. But the benefits of Horticulture Therapy last for months beyond the actual growing process. We offer specialized and innovative activities all year round regardless of any physical limitations.
Reaching for Optimal Independance
Chelsey Park provides prompt initiation of physiotherapy upon physician referral. The physiotherapy contract service providers apply therapeutic exercise and functional rehabilitation training. In collaboration with the resident, the physiotherapist will asses, devise and implement a care plan.
Increasing Health and Vitality
Tremendous benefits can be achieved through regular massage therapy treatments by our Registered Massage Therapist. Whether the need is to have a moment of relaxation, reduce muscle tension or attain relief from chronic pain, a therapeutic massage can enhance overall sense of emotional and physical well-being as well as quality of life.
The Spirit Of Living
Our ordained Chaplain and Pastoral Care Team provide spiritual support to residents of all religious backgrounds and cultural traditions. An interdenominational Chapel Service, Bible Study, individual visits with our Chaplain and Spiritual Care Circles are all offered weekly, as well as Celebration of Life and worship services offered monthly.
A Powerful Therapy
Regardless of age and mental condition, our residents begin their creative journey through art. Residents do not need to have artistic skills nor a creative background. Art is about self-expression and therapeutic in the sense that one is able to enjoy the moment by experiencing freedom and spontaneity, to be able to articulate without words.
St. John Ambulance
The Therapy Dog Program brings comfort, joy and companionship to our residents and our residents in turn reap the benefits of unconditional love from a four-legged friend. Dogs are non-judgmental. They are undeterred by human frailties and accept human challenges. All dogs are tested for temperament and certified annually by a veterinarian. In house pets, birds & fish are an added benefit.
